Electric auger size matter?

Do they matter much as far as how many holes they should drill between the 5 inch and 6 inch sizes?

The lit on the Strikemaster electric said that you could do about 12 6" or 10 8" holes with 24" of ice. This is on a fully charge battery. If that makes sense, I would guess about 14 5" holes. They also mentioned that you may get a little more from the battery if you let it rest and sort of regenerate itself after drilling a half a dozen holes or so.
