yamaha kicker

am looking at an 8hp yam 4 stroke kicker for my boat,,any1 have this motor with some insight on it? i believe the model # is a t8.

Yamaha T8 is pretty highly regarded little motor, having electric start and power tilt is very handy. I researched for a year and am having one mounted on my rig next month.

are u mounting it with steering connected to your big motor? im wondering if u can have that kicker mounted with elec tilt and steering off your main motor,, u know so u dont hv to go back and drop the kicker and do and extra hookup,

Yes, I understand you can get this rigged to steer in synch with the main motor gear, and have the tilt switch run to the console. I'm going the more "manual" route.

ezsteer makes the linkage.
Panter marine makes a remote steering control.
