doc
I am looking at getting a new Ice Auger for making a spear fishing hole. Concerns are how well it will overlap without skipping out.Any opinions on what type works best. I was thinking about a Lazer Mag with the double blade. I see they make 3 and 4 blade models as well. Would they work better?
HUSKIN FORA MUSK
Doc, If you get an ice saw, it wouldn't really matter. Check out the fishing equipment in the red bar at the top of the forum page. You could buy a hand auger for $35 and an ice saw for $75 and be $250 ahead in the game, plus I'm sure that even with a hand auger and the ice saw, you could beat someone in a race that's using a power auger even in 24" of ice. /-/ /_/ _/` /< / /\/
8-Ball
Hey Doc- Did you get a deer this season? I had it all set up for you to hunt on our and neighbors land, but didn't hear from you...Plenty of ice up here- I have heard most spots around 10" or so. The lake across the road from us is a good spearing lake. Let me know if you need directions-there are some pigs in there. Happy Holidays! 8-Ball.
