1 pound propane tanks

Is there any place that you can take used 1 pound propane tanks so they can recycle them? It seems like a waste throwing these things away when they could be recycled.

they do make an adaptor to refill them with a 20 lb tank, i think they are like $20 and you can find them at just aboot any hardware or outdoors store.

Most waste transfer stations will take them.
