Muzzleloader Pistol?

Is there a company that makes a muzzleloader pistol that is legal to use for deer in MN? I was told that the revolver types are not legal for hunting. Thanks in advance!

Single shot pistols that meet caliber requirements, .40 rifled or .45 smoothbore, are legal to hunt with in MN. Revolvers are NOT legal to hunt big game with. I would recommend a .50 cal as minimum. Thompson Center makes a 209x50 ML barrel for the Encore. Traditions make a variety of inline pistols that would be very suitable for deer hunting. Several companies also make various "Kentucky" or "Trapper" style single shot pistols that would be legal to hunt with.

I shot a buck with a .54 cal Lyman Plains Pistol a few years ago. I hunted again this year with the Plains Pistol and missed a buck at about 30 yards. Hunting with ML pistols is definitely a short range event.

Thanks Bogsucker. I checked out T-C's and Traditions' websites. I want to get one before next season and I just needed a point in the right direction. Thanks again.
