I run the SLT units for my rentals. When I compare them side by side with the new SE, they look very similar. Just a couple of cosmetic chages that I can tell. Performance should be great with either unit.

The FL-8 SE has the new updated display. The new displays are brighter and easier to read in direct sunlight. Other then that they are the same as the FL-8 SLT.
