strikemaster gears

I've read the book and see nothing on maintenance on the gears or clutch. Are these items maintenance free?? Anybody have any info??

I called StrikeMaster this year and asked that exact question. There advice was to open the case by taking out the 6 screws and just spreading the grease that is already in the case back over the gears as needed. They said there is no reason to add more and that this would be sufficient.

I had to replace the gears in my old Mag III. They all ground off, so I went to Strikemaster in Big Lake, and they replaced them for free. Great company. The auger was 15 years old.
