The Gulls are Wrecking my Boat Cover!!

I've got my boat on a lift on Mille Lacs and over the past month or so the dang seagulls have made it their new hangout. You can imagine the mess they leave behind... Does anyone know what a guy could do to keep the gulls away? Unfortunately I'm only there on weekends so I can't get after 'em during the week.

Make a windsock-looking thing with streamers instead of the sock. Cut a heavy duty garbage bag into strips like a ponpom. You might want to put one at each corner and in the middle to cover the territory.

Plastic owl decoy used for decoying crows works pretty well.
