Who knows, its just another pro/am that will come and go.

If you look at the history of different MN,pro/ams.It is a repeating pattern that MN anglers support these events and they just disapear.

Where did they go,who were the champs, who made the money, who lost the money????

What are you talking about davec?? The first pro/ams called the Silverado then it changed its name to mn bass tour. that was cancelled the original pro/am director started the gander and now the silverados are back! The people that do well in the pro/ams dominate your small tourneys!!!!!!!

"The best value in fishing"

lets see costs

$110 entry

$20 big bass

$150 gas

$200-$300 hotel/food

IF you win $1250 after costs roughly $670 split

pro/ams

the only change is entry

if you win $10,000 after costs roughly $9200 not split

the pro/ams are here to stay

Sounds like a credit card commercial.

Ability...

Priceless!

Couldn't resist. Seems the cold hard water has everybody a little on edge.

I think you might have it a little backwards,it is our members that dominate large and national events.

With over 2000 members and a huge Championship we offer the weekend angler a great value.

I wish all the anglers of the NEW Mn.Pro/Am a great year.

I hope MNFish has a good year also, but this is not the MN pro/am of 2003.

MN. anglers who support tournament trails from beginning to end deserve to be able to return to the same trail the next year.

With our pay out % being probly the same as the pro/am,we also have cash drawings, tackle giveaways, and a sponsor challange and also a huge National Championship. At the Championship Team Supreme 2003, we awarded anglers with over $200,000.00 in cash and prizes,2004 is expected to exceed the 2003 championship.

Now finally there will be an arena for the true Pro's of MN bass fishing to ply their trade, and not come and dominate the rest of the poor weekend anglers at the local events. What a relief! My question is which lucky 49 Pro's will get these coveted spots. Only time will tell, I think there should be an application process, with maybe a written test and a resume submitted of their bass fishing prowess and qualifications. That way only real Professionals will be allowed to fish and not a wanna-be who has not proven him or her self. wink.gif

As one comes ,one goes,it seems Gander MNT. has cancelled there Pro/Am Bass tournaments?

Full feilds and and usualy good support from the public.

Its hard to understand why? MN.anglers deserve better.

Lets just hope the new Pro/Am can stand the test of time,or at least two or three years?

Good luck to Frank and all his anglers in 2005 and the future.

Baisically Minnesota's high level fishing opportunities are pathetic and mostly non-existent when compared with other states. It seeems like it's been forever since a BASS or FLW tour level event has taken place in this state. Let alone any decent tournament trails in the pro/am format. It is really sad to say that there are no decent pro/am type events taking place in the state this year. And even sadder still that there is an E50 event taking place in Wisconsin this year and nothing of the like in Minnesota. We have such better lakes in this state than Lake Wissota!!!

Last time the pros came to Minnesota, the "powers that be" on Lake Minnetonka made their lives miserable. Contestants were harassed about just about everything: parking, milfoil, speed, no wake zones, etc. BASS and FLW are normally welcomed and embraced by tournament hosts. They don't need to bring the show to a place they aren't welcome. Too bad, we all learned so much last time they were here.
