B. Amish, good point. Don't forget the lowered pitching mound in all ballparks. It was only about 1 1/2" if I remember correctly, but it makes it easier for the batter to pick up the pitch none the less. Another example of a smaller porch is the Metrodome. Remember Kirby bringing back a homerun that was over the plexi-glass in the World Series? The plexi-glass is no longer there.
