White Fish

I am originally from Idaho were we ice fished for white fish with halgermites on the Salmon river. We could catch them by the 5 gallon bucket full in mid January. They were great smoked. Are there any rivers around here that ice up and have white fish in it?

The Yampa River has white fish but Iam not sure it ices up enough to ice fish. However, I have heard of guys catching a few where the Yampa comes into Stagecoach Reservoir.
