Metro Perch

I do know there are some bigger perch in some of the metro lakes but do any of you target these fish? I would think that in the winter would be the best time of year to go after perch. I don't want to know lakes but how do you target metro Perch? Do you just fish the deeper parts of the lakes? What do you use for bait?

my guess for metro perch would be tanners lake. i went to an ice fishing contest there and caught many jumbos. most of the fish entered were perch and the biggest was almost a pound and a half i believe.
