Golden Gate State Park

Couldn't wait any longer. Went to Golden Gate State Park this a.m. Ice was 4-5 inches. Caught over 30 SMALL trout in about 1.5 hours. Small fish, but was able to verify the auger was sharp and the LX3 charged. If the Ice Gods are on my side, I hope to hit Lake John next weekend.

Rumor has it that people are fishing Lake John on several inches of ice. Not enough ice for big boy (me) but, with the onset of colder weather, maybe enough for a trip up there next Saturday. Will keep you all informed. <'((<

Thanks, will do Dan. I called earlier in the week, and the report was some ice on John, and capped on the Delaney's. Not enought to get out on though. Hopefully it will stay cold this week, and we can venture out next weekend!! I have the camper ready with plenty of propane, so let it get COLD!!!
