Fish Fry

(I believe) as long as you keep the remains of the fish you ate to prove you haven’t gone over your limit you might be okay. The fish you eat are considered part of your limit. I’d ask a CO before pulling up the lines and cooking the fish.

It would depend on the regulations of the particular lake. On lakes with a slot limit, "While on waters with size restrictions, all fish for which the size restriction applies must have their heads, tails, fins, and skin intact

and be measurable"

If there is no slot limit, I don't believe you'd even need to pull your lines as long unless you've already kept a limit of the targeted species.
