Anybody been to Spirit Lake lately?

Has anyone been to Spirit Lake lately? Thinking about getting the boat out there one more time this coming weekend to get a little Sea Foam run into motor and trying to snag a fish or two while I'm at it.

Anybody been catching any eyes there lately? Or perchies, gillies, crappies?

We were up on Spirit the other day. Fished Anglers bay and caught quit a few perch and like always a bunch of small walleyes. The action was pretty good. Small jig and a minnow.

Thanks Lund 18. That sounds exactly like I expected. Did the perch have any size to them?

We might also try trolling around some cranks for a while to try for a bigger eye or pike.

Well, we gave it a whirl yesterday. Got on the water about 8am. Pulled raps with lead-core till the wind really kicked up. Missed a couple hits. Then after the wind really got swirling, we tried hiding in the north end of anglers to catch a few gillies, perch, or whatever would bite. No luck.

It was fun though. First time I'd ever been trolling in a blizzard! At least we got stabilizer in the motor, the lower unit drained, the batteries hid away in the basement, and the boat put in storage for the winter.
