KidWalleye
I have my fether-in-laws benelli and I was wondering if I can use it for slug hunting? And if so what choke and is there a certain slug I should use.
TV BOY
Use the cylinder choke. It will be the one with 5 notches in the end. Use the traditional "rifled"slugs or better yet try the Brenikie sp? slugs- they have killed the last 4 deer I've shot at dead in their tracks! and those were from a 20 ga. KidWalleye
TV Boy you use the same gun? Have you ever tried the mod choke? My neighbor suggested it, he also said the rifled slug. Do you use the 2 3/4 or 3"
TV BOY
I have a SBE but don't use it for shooting slugs. I shoot a NOVA with a rifled slug barrel now. I used to shoot a Mosberg 500 with a improved cylinder choke(because I didn't have the cylinder tube). However on the mossberg I mounted aftermarket sights onto the vent rib. They are removable and work Awesome comparted to no sights (just a bead). I think tru-glow makes a similar product for turkey hunters.
