Here is a picture of the first hunting dog I ever owned, Boomer, I got him in 1990 when I was 15. Got him from a family friend when he was 2 years old. He was actually gun shy when I got him, so I had to put in a lot of time and effort to get him huntable. Seems like a long time ago now. This picture is from 1997, the last year I got to hunt with him, because later that year he was hit by a car and killed. Knowing that then I would have mounted that big rooster, still the biggest tail feathers of any rooster I have shot. I'm sure others have photos and memories of past hunting buddies as well. I have two wonderful labs now, but this is one of my all time favorite pictures.
