0 Tahoe2349
Yes there is a recall on the valve on certain DV215-7 SG units. It will depend on the serial number of the unit. The unit can be used. The problem Robertshaw discovered with the valves is in the pilot actuator(magnet). If the pilot is burning and blows out for some reason, the gas to the pilot only, continues to flow through the valve. As long as the pilot is lit or if the valve knob is in the off position, there is no problem. I would suggest that you turn the pilot off when the heater is not needed. If your heater is in the range of serial numbers that require a fix, you will be contacted. If you can forward me the serial number, I can tell you if your heater falls into the category of the recall.
