Last weekend we spent Sunday the better of the 2 hunting days up North of Big Sandy hunting grouse. We seemed to be the only guys in the woods hunting grouse! I think the majority of the hunters were chasing ringnecks which left the trails relatively open for us! We had some success we baged 2 birds and saw 8. We also hunted near boot lake off an old abandoned county road that seems to end at a large sink hole! The road ends at a place called Rat Lake! What a nice area for hunting both ducks and grouse. Does anyone hunt near here?
