Separation Lake Question

I've been asked by a friend of mine from Alabama to check out Separation Lake. He and his two buddies have heard that this lake is a good pike fishery. They are die hard bass guys and love to crank for pike. They can get reservations the first week of Sept. Would this be a good choice for thier fall trip?
