Nestor Falls end of July

Will be heading to Nestor Falls area for vacation end of July wondering if anyone has any info on some area drive to lakes to try. Prefer smaller water if possible. Bass, crappies, walleyes, anything will do. Any info appreciated.

There is a small lake to the south of Nestor Falls called Caliper Lake that has walleyes and crappies. I'm not sure how good the crappie bite will be in mid-summer but fall and now would be good. There is a lot of big water that has sheltered areas to fish. Crow Lake is a nice laker lake with spots within a few miles of the resorts during mid-summer. Just got back from there and picked up some lakers and tried walleye on low but was a bad weather day last weekend.

Fish below the falls in town towars sundownif current is swift enough before sundown...always seem to get a few eyes.

Thanks for the info, we will be staying on Crow and I know that lake well, but was looking for something different. Do the crappies stay in the deep winter spots on LOW throughout summer? Might check that too.

I thought there was a regulation that prohibited fishing at the falls now?
