I'm organizing a camping/fishing trip to Nipigon lake in mid June. Can anybody give some good advice? I see there is a campground called poplar point park, but no phone number. Is this lake fishable with a 18 ft boat? What kind of gear do I need to have. Does anybody know if there are smaller lakes around to fish if its too rough on the big lake. Any info would be helpfull. Thanks.

Don't know if this fits your needs or not, but to get your answers try calling Darrel Splett at Pasha Lake. It is north of Beardsmore Ont. While we were there several group went out and fished Nip on a boat called the Miss Piggy and caught huge lakers, 20 to 30lbs. The info is on their web site PashaLake.com. We fishing alot of local lakes and were extremly happy with lakers, walleyes, brookies and Trophy splake. Hope this is helpful. SCAT
