Gullrock Lake

Recommended Posts

I have spent a lot of time on Red Lake, the fishing is excellent. Lots of action, lots of big pike and lots of big walleyes. As a nice bonus, there was awesome Lake Trout fishing, even if June, and the average size of the fish we caught was amazing, it was nearly impossible to find anything under 10 lbs.....I haven't fished Gullrock, but I have had at least 2 people reccomend it to me and tell me the fishing was excellent. I know they said the walleye fishing was awesome, I'm sure you will do very well.

Most of my fishing on red was done more towards the western end. I stayed at Black bear camp which was about 30 minutes west of town on a mostly gravel road. The lakers should be all over though. You want to look for Main Lake reefs that run from 35-55 ft, and these reefs should be situated near much deeper water. It was also almost an exclusively evening bite, after about 7:00.
