Rumor around town here were I am from is that the Lake is so slushy that you can,t get on the lake! Is this true or false rumor? Also how far out are they plowing and which landing should a guy take? Gordys? I just don,t wanna drive that far for nothing! THANKS IN ADVANCE!
Guest
I don't know which lake you are going to fish so I can't speak directly of the conditions there, but be prepared for slush. I was just up to Nestor Falls this past weekend Trout fishing. We tried to get to Kay Lake but after getting a couple of snowmobiles stuck in the slush and spending the time to dig them out we changed plans and opted for Crow Lake. Wasn't much better there. I can't imagine one lake would be slushy and another next to it not be.
Hemlock
Very slushy, tons of snow. There's an ice road on Sabaskong, but not Steven's Bay. That's all I know for sure.------------------Hemlock"Throw'm back"

Daryl
Just got back today. Fished hay on Thursday. Lots of slush and snow. We went out on sleds from Morson Gov't dock. It's OK as long as you stay on an old sled track but otherwise pretty rough going. There was a group of sleds that I believe came from the Nestor Falls direction but didn't talk with them.
