animalal
I have been camping at white wing resort on Lac Suel for five years. My question is are there any places to camp on the lake that aren't at a resort. If not, where are some good resorts to stay at. This is a group of 6 to 10 people and up to five boats that like to tent it.
lip_ripper
Hey AnimalalAs far as I know there are no campgounds. Mostly because its known as the queens land and no non-residents can camp there. There are a few resorts I know of but as far as what they're like I can't be of any help. Our crew has been housboating out of Hudson for the past 13 years. If that is the area your thinking of there is a resort near Hudson and Souix Lookout. I believe its called Lost Acres. Then there is the Silver Water Wheel that is near Vaughn Lake. And if you want a real long boat ride Chamberlain Narrows has a real nice looking place, but that is about a 2 hour boat ride from souix Lookout. Evergreen Lodge operates near Ear Falls but I have never fished that part of Lac Suel before. Any other questions I'll try to help![This message has been edited by Rick (edited 02-02-2004).]
animalal
Thanks lip ripper. We fished on the ear falls side of the lake. I heard it is better fishing on the souix look out end. I would like camp on that side of the lake the first or second week in june. If any one has liked a particular resort please let me know.
snagger
Lac Seul Resort is located just outside of Hudson. Good resort, cheap, with nice cabins. But, you will likely have trouble getting a cabin during peak summer. You can also stay at Big Vermillion Lodge, about 2 miles from the landing at Lac Seul. Poor cabins and service, but cheap. You'll have to trailer your boat each day to Lac Seul, but they'll have cabins available. Good luck.
