JAYSUPNORTH
hey tombow im manily a walleye guy only fished lakers a few times but last year on rowan the best method was deep diving cranks the walleye minnow jr.in silver or gold was the best.we did get some on dead bait as well but trolling and casting was the best it sure is fun casting on a rocky reef and seeing a huge laker follow it in. TomBow
Sorry to horn in on your thread, don't have an ice report for you. Just curious about your laker tacle and techniques, if you'd be willing to share. Love them lakers, mayun!! Hey, if I have any say, the ice will be off for you by May 3rd, if not before. Just keep an eye on Kenora weather via Weather Channel online. Best of Luck!
aprowl
TOMBOW: get yourself a big flashy doctor spoon [the heavy one] cast it out and let it flutter or troll it along shore lines moving in and out 10 to 40 feet...also plugs that dive about 20 feet..
