Heading to Yellowstone

I am heading to Yellowstone next week. Any great tips on fishing that area? Any help appreciated!

Years ago , the vibrax spinner was king. Now I think that you can keep all the Macs that you catch, because they are eating all the Cutts.

Me and the wife were there in late sept. of 2001.I had my boat and put it in Lewis lake and Yellowstone lake.Lewis was decent for browns and lakers,although nothing over 22".We caught jillions of cutts in yellowstone lake trolling kasty's-they seemed to like areas where the steamers entered the lake-HOT water!Caught most fish about 15-25 ft down over 50 ft depths.I coulda caught alot more fish if I wasnt with the wife-they get bored kinda easy-just when I would start figuring them out,we'd have to go back to camp.Also hiked into Shoshone lake and got skunked,its very shallow till you get out aways,fished Heart lake,its a 6 mile hike each way-caught tons of little cuttys and lost a BIG fish,7 or 8 lbs all on gold and silver bouyants.BTW, the big lake is BIG-we never left the first bay by the Thumb? Neat place,good luck,I'd do it again!
