did anyone else go? we fished near the dam/weight station and caught a bunch of little guys...2" white tubes then switched to camo/brown middle of the afternoon, a few 16" 'bows also on same tubes. I guess they were a bit more co-operative closer to the inlet

I fished the tournament on saturday, fished just west of boat ramp in 46 feet of water, had nothing like last week where I caught 2 lakers in excess of 25 inches. Last saturday caught 4 little ones, the biggest about 12". Not a good day for me...Fished the standard gold airplaine jig 3/8 ounce with white tube trailer, stinger hook, and a piece of sucker meat. Didn't even mark that many on hummingbird, knowing that I would be out there all day packed a little heavier than usual " wrong idea", didn't really want to pack all up and go somewhere else, so I stayed hoping they would come back for an late afternoon bite, but they didn't. Still great day, the winner had 46" of lenghth + girth, was that a Laker or big rainbow?..I will be going out this weekend to wolford to start pre-fishing, haven't been there yet this year, hopefully there is some good solid ice that I will be able to drive on.
