I fished Lake John for 4 hours Friday pm and 4 hours Sat. am. I caught maybe 30 trout on Meal Worms and small Pink or Root Beer colored tubes. I have been skunked 3 times this year so it was nice to catch some fish. I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed the ratio of decent size fish ( 13" to 15" ) to smaller size ( 7" to 9" ) fish seems to be unusual for Lake John. Out of the 30 or so fish only 3 were decent size. I didn't talk to any one else that caught very many fish at all, not even small one's. Has anyone else noticed that the fish are smaller this year or is was just a coincidence? <'))<

Remember that if it winter killed last year (or even partially), all you'll have left is the newly stocked fish. Heck, we've been catching 14-16 inch trout at Boyd lake, without the 2 1/2 hour drive.
