Granby / Grand Lake

Hi Guys,I'm new to this site also and it seems like a pretty good place to get info.I usually fish Granby and I sure like the challenge catching those lakers.Has anyone have any reports on the ice? I know in years past we haven't been able to fish untill about the last week in December.

I fished Arapahoe Bay Saturday, 12/6 and there was absolutely no ice anywhere on Granby. <'))<

Granby is frozen but not safe for an Atv or snow machine yet.

I talked to a friend who has a cabin on Lake Granby and he said the entire lake is frozen, but as was mentioned it is not safe to go out with a snowmobile or ATV. He said there was a group of ice fishermen out on Rainbow Bay. It's always the first to freeze and I'm guessing there is at least 6"
of good ice. Two weeks ago there was 2" to 4" inches of ice in all the bays.

We fished Granby 12/26, Sunset point,about 4 or 5 in. of ice . Between two of us we caught 8, biggest about 20in. Saw good numbers on the vex.We even saw 2 snowmobilers pull up, unload drive down the boat ramp and head for Arapahoe bay.
