Has anyone heard about the ice at Glendoe?I tried to call Curly's today and their phone was temp disconnected. Called Bennetts and they said that there had been 5" of ice on the north end but the wind was blowing it around a lot.Sure would like to ice some eyes or even some cats. Let me know if you have any better info than what I got. 1st ice is usually best for the eyes at Glendoe, so lets get a trip planned soon.

Dan Dan, We are definately in for icing some winter eyes at Glendo. I've never fished it through the ice , but have hit it pretty hard during spring and summer.Would sure like to give it a go this winter!

Hey all

As of yesterday, the ice on Glendo is marginal @ best, (3-4 inches of slushy stuff). Was up pheasant hunting Bennet Hill area with some friends. Also, just so you know, the lifetime conservation stamp in Wyo is going from $75 to $150 as of 1/1/4.

I'm new on the forum. Hello to all. I called Glendo marina this afternoon. They said they are icing up, but can't walk on it yet. When it happens, I definately want to hit it for some 'eyes. Never fished it before, but have heard nothing but incredible reports.

Went to Glendo on 1/18/04. There was too much water between the shore and the ice to risk getting on the ice. I didn't see anyone fishing. It doesn't look good for this year unless we get a good cold spell to make ice.

I talked to the guy at Curly's in Douglas on 1-18 and he indicated that Glendo was totally frozen. The ring around the edge is from the lake filling up,nothing to worry about. My bro and I are going to Goldeneye res. on fri,1-20.It's west of casper on hwy 20-26 and supposedly has real fat wally,s in it. The guy at Curly,s said that they werent catching much but catfish at Glendo.

My bro and I got to Goldeneye at 2:30 fri and fished till 5:45 (dark)-skunk city! So we left and went to Alcova res.Fished there sat from 7:30am till 2:45pm and caught 45 trout mostly bobos on tube jigs/worms and minnows slayed em. caught 1 brown-19" and 2 suckers about 4 lbs. Then it got REALLY windy so we went and fished open water below Alcova dam-caught nice bo's 14-19" on sat night and sun morn. The $85.00 wyo licsense is worth it!

My brother-in-law & his son & I went to Crystal Lake, just west of Cheyenne and had a real nice day. We all caught our limit of nice trout and plan on having a good fish fry sometime this week. I learned a good secret from another fisherman there, and that was to pour garlic in a bottle of red salmon eggs. I have never done that, but it worked great ind I'll be doing it again. I'm still looking for some good perch/walleye fishing closer to Denver, which I call home.
