Lucky, I look forward to being a contributor to this site. I'm spending this weekend getting all my gear ready. Maybe I can get on the ice by Sunday. Have you heard anything about the ice at Red Feather Lakes?

I have not. However, put it out as another post with a ? mark and I'll bet soemone knows. I,m from Co. Springs so I don't get up that way much. I have ice-fished Joe Wright before... Coldest and most wind I have ever had to deal with.

I fished a lake near Laramie, Wyoming last year and I thought that was the windiest & coldest. But the water was crystal clear and you could see 20 feet down. It was worth the trip. We even caught some fish.
But I've got a new ice hut to try out and I think it will help in that area.

Thanks John. I didn't go last weekend. I went to a ice fishing seminar and then had some honey do's to take care of. I'm thinking about going this Weekend sometime. Maybe I'll see you up there on Dowdy. I have a trap guide. Don't be shy. just come over and say howdy.

Hey all,
New here too. Found link just now on Walleyecentral. Figured it would be more local ice options here than there. Will keep an "eye" out over there as well.

Live in the Springs and fish mostly 11-mile and Aurora (when it freezes). Looking forward to hearing all reports.

Lou
