ICE FISHED COWDREY!

Fished Cowdrey lake on mon 11-24. 75% of lake had 2";near inlet end 4". 2 of us fished from 8 till 2:30. We each caught a dozen r-bows,my biggest 18.5" was 18"I used ice lazers/worm and my bud used p-bait.We missed a bunch- goin to 11-mile on sat 11-29.Dont know about other lakes in area-didnt check.

Lucky- no knowledge of thickness but trust me it will be thick enough on the inlet end.

11-mile has ice but only a thin layer around the edges or so says The Denver Post.

The denver post is about 2 weeks behind-the only way to tell is to go there and see for yourself.If you wait for someone to say its safe you miss that magical ice on -its just as good as ice off.

Fished Cowdrey on Sunday and man was it terrible! Had great weather, but not a bite for two of us. There were two other guys that fished all day Sat and got skunked. We fished 8 to 11, then went to lake John. Those other two didn't have a bite either while we were there. We tried every thing , with no luck. Slow,Slow,Slow.
