Spirit Lake fish hatchery

I called the Spirit Lake Fish Hatchery today and the gal told me the nets where put out yesterday and today they will start bringing in the fish for milking. They will be open till 10:00pm for the public, If you get a chance take the whole family down and see the big Muskies and walleys and see the process from eggs to the fry.

I visited the spirit lake hatchery on tues 4-13. it was neat to see. man there are some nice fish in those lakes down there. the biggest fish they had there was a 36 lb muskie. Huge! very informative staff working there as well. worth the trip! sounds like you need to get there soon, before the release everything.

I went up there with my boy last night. They had a 39lb'er to go with the 36'er! Awesome fish, very cool to see.

We are goin down to see the hatchery this weekend and I was wondering how far along they are in the process? Do they have any fry in the tanks on the screans yet and have the muskey started yet? I am taking some friends down on sunday. thanks ricbak
