I am right there with ya John....wish I had more to report but I cant seem time to make it out on the water. Between work, my gf's recent appendix removal, and weddings to go to, I am lucky to get out a one time a week anymore. SUnday I will be out...probably 3Mile...will try hard to report after that

I've been fishing the Des Moines with some success the cats are small but I got into some unexpected smallmouth action last Saturday. It was a hoot!

Three Mile has some fishing jetties around the lake. Stop by BJ'S bait shop in Afton for a map or check out the DNR's site. Finns.

Just got home from down south.Did greatlots of fish 142BlueGills,17 Red Ears,14 Bass and12Crappies. The Bass went back in.Fished 6 ponds to these fish for large group fish fry.Cold front and rain slowed the fishing down.Hope to hear mores. ICE JOHN FISH ON

Made it to pool 11 on saturday. Caught a ton of bass, all from 12-15", no huge ones, but enough numbers to make it fun. And one big sheepshead

How big was your drum Dave? I hooked into a 3lb drum on light tackle slip bobbering for smallies on west boji last weekend...thought it was going to be a huge smallie...disappointed, but man those drum put up a fight!!

I, unfortunately, didnt get out on the water as I was still nursing the girlfriend back to health after her appendix surgery. However, as of today she goes back to work so I should be able to get some fishing in again.

Glad you continue to catch fish and make me jealous of you John! Love the reports though as at least someone is out there enjoying the water on a regular basis!

Big goody, I'd say over 10lbs. Snagged the darn thing, so that made it worse. I bet we fought the devil for 15 minutes or more, between it trying to get under the boat, the darn wind, and the shore. It was fun, but I sure thought it was a huge cat!

Fished the iowa river sunday. Caught 2 eyes and 1 cat. All on frogs. The eyes were a surprise since I was catfishing with big poles and heavy line. Bring on the ice.

I went to north twin last thursday night 12 crapies and that was the last time for me with duck season coming open again and bow season deer coming up I have been checking also hopeing for that hot tip but not there. Will this early cold snap going to make for early ice one can only hope two foot of ice then six to eight inches of snow it would last for ever. Has any one heard of or seen any got to have new gadgets for the hard water season...
