i was wondering if anyone had fished on this lake before, because im coming down from mn on the 14th and 15th to fish. just wondering what i should expect to catch here.

Five Island Lake?

Just fished it yesterday, my daughters caught 15 crappie, 12 nice bluegill, 3 small catfish, and a 1/2 dozen small walleye. Many guys are fishing the dredge drop off North of the railroad trestle,trolling crankbaits off of the break (6' to 12')catching some walleye there off and on.

I have fished 5 island before not this year yet has locater is out of order.. i fished it alot last year and a few years ago did pull a nice walleye 5lbs out of there i have also gotten a few nothern and bass out of there my best of luck has been up on the north end past the train bridge i was speed trolling when i caught that walleye i caught most of my fish on number 5 shad raps.. hope this helps

I fish 5-island lake alot. this time of the year fish north of the trussel fish anywhere from 5 to 12 foot, I have had my best luck with bouncers and spinners with crawlers and leeches. also there is good crappie and bluegill to be caught on the south end.
