Changes in the 3B zone

Was wondering if anybody heard any results on how the deer hunting was in Houston county with the changes the DNR made for taking some does in the buck season.

I hunt just into the next county from there. One night we drove past a small field and counted over 150 deer,and they were still comming out of the woods. The thing is, we only spotted one buck in all thoes deer. The rest were all does and yearlings. The zone I'm in is an intensive harvest for the 2nd season. This doesn't make any sence to me. With that many deer in such a small area, I wonder why the D.N.R. couldn't split some of thoes permits up with the first season, and give back the weekend they took away from us. Not everyone has vacation time to hunt durring the week,and the weekend is the only chance they have to hunt. With the population of deer so high I think they need to reconsider some of the changes they have made, and ballance out the seasons better.
