Deer licenses by the hour ?!?

My lucky string is still intact. 2 years ago I was happy to slip an arrow into the ribcage of a yearling basket-racked 8 pointer on only the 3rd evining I sat in the stand. Then, last year, a nice 2.5 year old 8 pointer came in to my grunt call the second night out, I got lucky with a 35 yard shot and he only made it 50 yards before piling up. But the best is what happened Tuesday evening...It was my first time out this year, I was in the stand only 1.5 hours when I rattled in a 2.5 year old 10 point and double lunged him at 12 yards. Incredible!

So heres a summary of the last three bow seasons:

2001: 8 hours total hunting time.
2002: 5 hours total hunting time.
2003: 1.5 hours total hunting time.

Dont get me wrong...I'm not bragging. I fully realize that I'm probably the luckiest whitetail hunter in Minnesota. Here's the kicker: all these deer were shot from the same deer stand. (And I'm not telling anybody where it is.) Polar Bear
