What is a fair price for a Ruger Red Lable 20GA Sporting clay model?

Need a little more info on the gun, age, shape and the such.

It is a 2002 model still in the box. The person that wants to sell it won it at a raffle. They want me to make an offer it is a Friend so I want to be fair I was thinking $8-900 would be a good deal for both of us? Thoughts

You might want to take it and have it appraised. I think ****** ******** will do this, certainly a reputable dealer would. Being brand new in the box makes it ever easier, all they have to do is open a copy of Shotgun News and read the wholesale price of the gun, they could even do it over the phone. I have a Ruger 20 ga. o/u skeet and have had it for 25 years. Almost sold it 5 years ago for about $600, but I think it went up some since then.
