Drill Plate Conversion Drill Covering

Us that fish in New England, typically don't get the deep freeze like so many others that many times, we may be fishing in the rain.

Question: using the Clam drill plate conversion, how are other anglers keeping their drill covered from the rain or shouldn't we worry about the drill getting wet? I have been laying a rubber boot over the drill when not in use so that the rain water doesn't go into the drill and wondering what others do.

Man Juano, You are hard on equipment! Actually you're right. I have put a Bosch 24 and a Dewalt 980 through heck and back, never noticed a problem. Now Santa brought me a DCD985 brushless, so naturally I'm babying it. I would say bring it home, pull the battery off to let it warm up and dry out good and you should be fine.
