Waubay area?

Any new reports on the Waubay area? I am heading up on Friday for a day of fishing, and was wondering if anyone was having success.

I was at bitter lake last Fiday. Fishing was slow. My Grandfather drove to Webster and talked to the baitshop there and they said waubay was slow on Friday also.

Storms went through on Thurday night, so I'm sure that effected the fish.

sounded like last weekend was pretty rough with the wind and all. otherwise the bite has been decent. waubay and swan still kickin out perch and eyes. sounds like pickerel is the place to be if you want some crappies.

That wind was rough!! Fishing was slow for myself. Only managed a few fish on Waubay. Buffalo and Cattail were dead seas for my boat. Its usually windy but that was just too much.

Fished Bitter Sept. 15-18, and did real well. Others we saw I don't think were doing as well. Secret we found was to fish shallow 5-8', and near the weed edges, and weeds which were near deeper water. Fish were mostly 16"-20". We ended up keeping 31 fish. And am sure we caught at least twice that many. Lindy Rigs, Bouncers, with crawler and minnow worked best.

Going to waubay area this weekend- anyone been out this past week. Any recomendations on where to start. Looking for walleyes, crappies, or perch. Thanks for any help!!!
