Ice Fishing Salmon

Does anyone know where you could ice fish for salmon? would it be worth trying on lake superior by Two Harbors or Duluth? i would just like to try catching a salmon through the ice. I'm just wondering on where i could go on a lake or on lake superior.

Lake Superior usually does not freeze over enough to allow ice fishing except in area's near the Apostle Islands, Chequmagon Bay. I have never caught salmon just laker's brown's and rainbows. Around Duluth you would be inside the Ariel lift bridge where most would fish for Walleye and pike and perhaps a lost trout.

From the end of february/early march through ice out the Bayfield/Washburn/Ashland area can be lights out for coho's.
