fishwater
Long story, but I have 5 vexilar transducers that are all the same exact size. 2 blue bottomed, 3 black. Can I assume that these are all identical? 2 of them are blue bottomed 9 degree "ProView", I know that. 2 of them are replacements for Tri-beams that my buddy swapped out last year, black bottomed. My buddy is vague on the actual transaction side. I assumed these to be 9 degree, again "ProView". 1 of them I just found the other day; my buddy bought a pile of stuff from my father 4 years ago and it was packed away wrapped around a spare pro-pack he didn't use. This is identical in size to the other 4. I asked a vexilar rep at the show yesterday and they seemed to suggest that producers were blue bottomed only AND recent? When I got the first blue bottomed one, I went to the Vex headquarters and picked it up. The first one I grabbed off the shelf was black, I asked about it and was told that they were the same. They swapped it with a blue one that day, so I walked out with a blue one. I'm going to sell/trade one or two of these and just want clarification. All 5 have the plastic connector (unlike the HSOforum) if that helps.
wishing for walleyes
You could do a youtube search on vexilar transducer.
Jim Kusuda
If all of the Ice-Ducers have the same fat, squatty dimensions, they are all the 9 degree Pro View. Rumored by my fabulous Vex contact, the blue ones may have Genz's dna.
