MikeRaetz
I spend a lot of my time on the water all year round and when it comes to picking the right suit that is not only going to keep me warm but dry on those wet and cold days I pick the ice armor edge suit to get the job done. I have put these suits to the test in some of the worst days when most would rather stay inside and they have passed with flying colors!!! I have used both the blue and grey suit in all different types of conditions from -30 degree days during the winter and nasty wet and cold weather a lot like we had over the past weekend and I never once had a chill run threw my body or a drop of water seep threw onto my jeans. These suits are made with the angler in mind from top to bottom. Some of the things I really enjoy about the extreme suit is that I am able to use it in all conditions. Last winter I spent 3 days out on the ice in -30 degree temps with 20+ mph winds. I spent a total of 14 hours on the ice everyday never once felt uncomfortable outside hole hopping for anything that would bite. With the insulation that this suit provides I did not need to layer at all and still stayed extremely warm while my eyelashes froze together every 2 seconds and I was constantly reopening my hole to fish. Those 3 days really opened my eyes up too how well this suit was designed for the worst conditions. The original blue suit is another great choice especially when you are a person that likes to layer up like my self. This suit has a little more room to layer without being insulated to I can take shirts as the day gets warmer but even without insulation it keeps me very warm and cuts the wind like no bodies business. being able to layer is nice especially for the days when the sun Comes out to say hi and give a little heat wave on the ice. It enables me to take off a few shirts if it gets warm out but when the cold kicks back in I can throw them back on without being restricted on my jacket. I have been running my blue suit a lot this fall or the few cold days we have had that truly made it feel like winter was around the bend. I spent my past weekend out all day in the cold wind and rain and it kept me on the water for 9 hours and I never once had water hit my normal clothes Even when doing 30 + mph to the next spot when it was down poring. The only amount of water that touched my body was my cheeks. The picture explains it all. This is my review on the ice armor line of suits I have used and I hope this helps you on the next suit you decide to purchase. When it comes to suits made for the angler ice armor makes it happen so you can stay out longer and catch more fish! Happy fishing everyone
Corey Bechtold
It seems like there are a lot of great options for Ice suits now. Clam has always been there with their Ice suits. They have 4 options now with the addition to the new Lift Suit. They seem to have all "4" bases covered now... lol Nice report on the suits Mike! I'll post my review of this new Lift Suit after we have fishable Ice... Good fishing, Corey Bechtold
Chad Peterson
Look forward to the review Corey. The edge suit is not only use for ice fishing anymore. Using the Edge suit for early spring and now in the fall for chasing the panfish and walleyes. It is a comfortable and warm and Clam has made a winner that this suit. Nice report Mike!
