Lake Madison

Fished Lake Madison this morning from 6 to 12. I was lucky enough to catch both a carp and a bullhead while trolling raps. Started at one end and trolled to the other without a single bite. I then trolled crawlers through several points. I am starting to think there is no fish in this lake.

I talked to a guy I work with tonight and he went out there yesterday and fished for about 4 hours in the wind and caught on walleye. He talked with a couple of other guys and they had a couple of fish in the bucket but from what he seen they were small.

Used to live in Flandreau and never fished Madison. Only time I've fished Madison was last fall when the perch were biting like crazy!

I fished Lake Thompson last weekend and had good success. Also heard that Dry Lake (by Willow Lake) & Swan Lake have been turning out some nice walleyes.

Yeah, I am the manager at Pamida. I also went to Sinai Saturday morning till noon and caught a couple small eyes and a few perch trolling raps. Nothing in the live well though.

Try Herman. My father-in-law lives in Madison and we have never really had any luck on Madison even though peoiple do catch decent Walleyes out there. Herman seems to be a bit more reliable.
