Jim Uran
Mike Raetz and a couple buddies from HSO and I will be hitting the ice today, I am slowly making my way out the door right now, maybe get into some crappie action before the sun wakes up. Then it's off to chase down panfish all day long... Reports coming later!

Jim Uran
LaGue my email address is in my signature, send me a line and we will get out... Still a ton of fishing to do! Ok folks, the day started with a bang, slowed a little, and ended up with another BANG!! It was a great day on the ice. What made it special was not only the fish caught, but sharing the ice with some great anglers, great like minded anglers. Ryan (bbfenatic), Mike Raetz, and Robert Nash are some top notch anglers that share the same passion as I do, catching and RELEASING panfish. I have no problem sharing my spots with the stewards of our sport. Not only do they know how to fish, they know which gear gets the job done! I started the day in 11 fow, after slapping a few perch on the bottom and not marking much of anything else, I moved out a little, I started fishing in 16 fow and started doing a little better, pulling in a some pretty nice gills and a couple of slab crappies, including one 14"er (see video on hsoshow.com).. It was about 9:00 or so when the guys showed up and we started searching along the deeper edge of the drop, 16-21 fow seemed to produce best throughout the day, switching up presentations and moving were the key to keeping on these fish. Some seriously beefy pannies were caught today, I'll slap up a few pictures and upload a couple of videos to let the story tell itself!
