Jason Mitchell Outdoors in Devils Lake, ND

Jason Mitchell of the outdoor program, Jason Mitchell Outdoors recently filmed a fishing segment on Devils Lake, North Dakota. Mitchell filmed the episode with Ice Team Pro, Jeff Andersen. The anglers targeted walleye. During a day and a half of filming, the anglers caught several nice fish using a rattle bait called the Salmo Zipper in six to seven feet of water. "Shallow water walleyes during the late ice period are often aggressive and catching these fish on a lure with no bait is just entertaining because the strikes are so hard," explained Mitchell. Mitchell and Andersen fished on the west end of the lake, finding most of the fish relating to shallow rock and gravel bars.

Great seminar today at the big c actually learned a couple things, I did learn somethings by actually asking a few?'s before the seminar a very helpful guy and down to earth. In my my eyes he's a " good people" type of guy. Glad I meet one of my idols. Now bring on open water!
