I'd like to get some info from y'all on this post on where the best lake in NE SD is to catch some nice crappie?? We've fished Waubay, Pickerel, and Lynn. Small crappie is all we've gotten on Pickerel, I don't think we've hit the best time on Waubay and haven't really tried real hard for them either, and Lynn we've never given a fair chance to either, only spending part of one windy day there. I'm planning on bringing my young son up in mid June and would like to find some crappie as well as the plentiful walleye on Waubay. Thanks.

I just got a report from Lake Cocheran and the crappies are on the spawning beds in about 7 feet of water. The average size is about 12 inches out there so there are some dandies there, but please only keep enough for a meal and let them finish spawning.
