walleye69
Muskeez,Fished this evening and caught a fair number of walleyes and sauger. All the fish we caught were males and milking heavily. Caught all of our fish in the Antelope Creek area on jigs & minnows and bottom bouncers with a plain hook and minnow. All of the fish were caught in 12-16' of water. There is also a pretty good bite going on in the West Bend area. If your willing to sort through some smaller fish you should be able to get a limit of decent sized eyes in the West Bend area.Hope this helps. Muskeez
Thanks 69er. We fished Pierre area on Sunday and Monday. Smaller fish down south of the bluffs/ farm island area, but not a slaughter by any means so we went up and fished near town and upstream and found better quality of fish, just not any decent numbers of them. Fished West Bend on Tuesday, HOT and flat CALM, = few bites, managed a few legals pulling plugs along with numerous smallmouths of course. Fished Chamberlain Tuesday evening and Wed. am, managed 5 legals. Overal fair bite but it's hard to figure out the bite when you move around so much, but it was great to be back at the river. Good Luck.
