Lake OAHE

Has anyone been out there yet this year. If so how was the fishing and where did you fish.

Mn Walleye,

I fished Oahe last Saturday in the Cheyenne River. The bite is just starting to get going in the mid section of the lake. We kept 12 walleyes from 14-19", and released 3 that were over 20" and about a dozen or so that were 10-14". Bottom boucers with a 3' snell with a plain hook and bead worked the best for us. We also caught some fish on jigs and minnows. We caught most of our fish in 8-15'. The best bite on Oahe right now is from the Akaska area north up to Pollock. Hope this helps you out. Good Luck.

Well missed the big bite by about a week, so we were told. Only brought home 15 walleyes between my dad and I. The were all nice fish though, 15 - 19 inches, only 2 fish at 14 inches.
